New working environment...
Still trying hard to adopt it...
Firstly, lotz of gals to see... I believe quality comes in quantity... haha... Oops... Sounds very perventic... hoho... If post to unit, I dont think will have such scenery anymore... haha... Cause in Air Force, this was very rare. Mostly all man... & maybe this is one of the reasons why I didnt manage to socialise as well as in Air Force... Some time handling ladies, as experience in Poly, cannot be too friendly initially. Will scare them... haha...
Secondly... Higher transportation cost & meal cost... Haiz... Although food nearby are good, but now need to spend more on fill my stomach.... Then Oct, transport hikes... will only have $0.15 rebate instead of the current $0.25 as I will only change 1 bus, total will add $0.18 per trip, $0.36 a day more than the current $1.93... haiz...
Thirdly... How things are done... Still remembered last time, everytime needs to report to someone or someone will be in-charge, so somehow is clearer... Now... u are at your own... U need to search & ask for the answer... Example, today there was a fire drill... haha... I still remembered in Air Force, the first thing to brief the new-comers was the fire-assembly point. I wasnt told where was it & I believed I wont ask also if not for the fire drill... In general, when the drill started, just followed the crowd... I truely believed, I believed alot of people have the same thinking as me... If there will be a fire, dont think will this orderly... But to be fair to the employer, because people come in & out often, really difficult to enforce. Unlike military.... haha...
As for assertiveness, I am not worry... I feel that I am fairly assertive. But still cannot see or feel the near or coming future... haha... Now can only do the best and hope for the better! haha... Isnt it the best way to survive? hehe...

Last Day of "HoneyMoon"
haha...
Last day of Honeymoon already...
Excited about new job... Seriously, dont know what to expect...
As OBS taught me "Expect the UnExpected".
But for the last 2 days, I had enjoyed myself alot.
Saturday, went Ronald's house for BBQ and played 7-Up. Not too sure is it a blessing, as I drove there. So I didnt drink. Can see that all of them were alittle drunk... haha... Especially Zheng Bin... But really funny to see that... Too bad that didnt manage to video cam it... haha... Since I was not drinking, I would eat... I was damn full... Feel bloated, didnt mange to sleep till about 3.45am... But playing this game, reminded me with my poly freshie life and GL life... haha... Punished was to eat something and that something might have just picked up from the floor or some other un-reliable source... haha... It was fun! At least it didnt make me feel that I wasted my poly life... haha... Besides 7-Up, at that time was also played 007, frog jump into water, 黑白配 etc... haha...
As for Sunday... Surprised to see ZhengBin at swimming pool... haha...
As for myself, still managed to finish 20laps before leaving the pool...
After that we for KTV sessions. Participants were Gwen, XiaoPing, Ronald, ZhengBin, Daniel and myself. Maybe because of yesterday's alcohol, many of us didnt perform as well as expected... haha... Still impressed with ZhengBin's rap... haha...
As for now...
Preparing stuffs for new job:
- Ironing of Shirts & Pants (New Shirts bought at G2000 during GSS)
- Shoes
- Bag
- Writing materials
Most important, MENTALLY! Somehow feel EXCITED now... haha... Have been unproductive for the past 2 months... Everyday surfs net and plays game... Haiz... Most disappointed is did not go WuDang Mountain... Haiz... haha...

Another Book Read
This is the Volume 3 of the Series. The book is about Qin & Han Dynasty.
Brief run-through how life during Qin Dynasty...
Due to 秦始皇's suspicious character, he made many many rules until it was so inflexible & almost doing anything & everything was against the law. But he had his achievements. Great wall, Canals for irrigation and Burning of books... haha... If he did not burn all the books, maybe today we will have alot of different Chinese characters with the same pronunciation and meaning. After burning all the books, 刘邦 as a Han promoted Han characters that formed the current Chinese characters.
As for the portion of Han Dynasty, I feel it was rather detail. But concentrated in the unstability of the government after the Emperor passed away, achievements of 汉武帝，汉光武帝, the rise of 东汉（Eastern Han) and the death of 韩信...

- First Female Leader （Lu 后)
- Peace with the borders (this is the part where 王昭君 comes into play)

After reading... I seriously feel that once human is powered with authority, fame and wealth. They will just go mad and start to do things in a reckless way. What makes thing worse, if is the government that do things recklessly (子乐: 苛政猛于虎 ). Lesson learnt, government that starts not to listen to their people will start to fail in their politics career. But maybe before that happened, there needs to have alot blood shed before the actual peace comes... Because 子乐: 国民好比是舟, 百姓好比是水, 水能载舟, 也能覆舟.
Really admired Confusious... How he manage to think of such things... Still applicable after a few thousands of years... haha...

Realised of the problem about the poster until lately Xiaoping reminded me that I was using a camera-phone, so took a picture of it.
The problem lies on the phone.
The model is Nokia 6030... A year ago, this phone was widely used in SAF compound as it is a non-camera phone... The question comes... So the 4 beautiful ladies posing at a non-camera phone to take picture???

A special view from HarbourFront
Yesterday went Canon to repair my Printer. After bringing the Printer to the Service center, while going to back to the carpark I found the Canon visitors car park scenery was nice... haha... So took a few pics and a video clip...
Too bad that I videoed it too early, after a few minutes of videoing, there were honing sounds from the cruise. Somehow the sound perfects the whole environment... haha...

Toastmasters Meeting - 18/9/2008
Today, I did my Project 3 - Speak to the Point.
My Title is Formula One. I thought it went well as the "wind" of Formula One is around the corner. It should give me an advantage to the scenerio.
I feel that I was confident in the speech...
But.... Caused by quick-thinking, I added a new sentence that I did not rehearse at all that screwed my speech... haha...
A moment of silence... I totally forgot how and what should I talk about it...
haha...
Shouldnt have acted smart...
haha...
But on the other hand, I should have memorized my speech in point forms instead of the whole paragraphs... Choon Kiat reminded me... haha... But I thought this was an easier way out... So now I suffered from my own doing...
But nevertheless, I managed to complete my speech. But did not really perform that well at the ending portion of my speech... In additionally, it has too much information so audience may have difficulties in understanding what I was trying to say... haha... Should have put in more effort... haha...
Overall I enjoyed myself for this meeting. Just feel that the new coming members were very "power-pact"... Stress.... They presented so well, it looks as if they were doing their Project 8... haha... Really have to buck-up & learn from them...

A Book Review...
An interesting book that I will recommend to anyone who likes China history...Not too detail, but at the same time having all those information that I will like to know...
It introduces Zhou Dynasty... As Zhou Dynasty is the longest in China History, it takes a whole book... haha... In Zhou Dyansty, there were alot of alot of 老人家... 孔子 (first chinese to have English name), 老子 (writer of 道德经), 孙子(author of 孙子兵法)... How they use their knowledge, intelligence and leadership of good use, in education, society and military... It also illustrates the technology, finanice, astrology techniques used at during those days...
After reading... I feel that it seems that when humans have power & money, things will go wrong... Human somehow will feel that if their authority or personal interests were offended, they will try to use anything they have (authority, con, cunning, force, poison) to achieve what they want.
Back to 21st Century.... what has changed? Peasants are still peasants... Finding their way to survive everyday... or even at times depends on other people's mercy to survive... Does it only happens to Asians? haha...

Today...
Went for Pre-Employment Checkup this Morning...
Didnt expect to have so many people... Waited near to 1hr before I was served.
Thats reminded me that I endured my peep for near to an hour...
haha...
Then advised by the nurse, went for X-Ray...
Waited about 15min, I feel thats acceptable...
What surprised me was a chio bu wearing shower groom walked out of the X-Ray room...
I was rather puzzled... She walked into another room, then after awhile, she came out of the room with her own clothes and thank the radiographer before she left. Then was my turn for the X-Ray... I just stepped into the room, the radiographer told me to take off my shirt... In my mind, ok... So i was not wrong about the shower groom chio bu.. She was here for X-Ray too... Just of my curiosity, why do we need to take off our shirt for X-Ray? To make sure there's not metalic objects between our body & the shirt? But best... The radiographer is a guy... haha... I dont know whether should I envy him... haha....
After Medical Checkup, went join XiaoPing, Jeremy, Zhen Bin and Yang Chao for Tennis...
Maybe due to X-Ray, I am feeling restless for the whole day until now... So didnt enjoy much...
Dont know is it feeling lonely or due to X-Ray... Feeling terrible the whole day... haha...
Maybe have to observe myself for next week, to see what is wrong with me... haha...

Letter of Appointment....
Today went to sign my Letter of Appointment...
It was long than expected...
Thought will last for 30min, but ended in about 2hrs...
But the HR was just doing their job, in fact I feel that they did a great job to explain to us all the benefits to us.
Really appreciate that.
Today, went to a wake.
This old uncle, I knew him from Zhong Clan Association. A friendly & respectable uncle who was always there to help people. I have no idea what to say, I dont know what to say... Just hope that everything will go smoothly and without major hip-ups.
This also reminded me what happened last year...
Almost between May & July, 3 wakes to attend...
Firstly, my aunty... The tension was so great, that it caused everyone didnt know how to handle and react to the situation. But what had passed, had passed... But was a lesson learnt, really cannot allow emotions to take over a person. Everything will go wrong... The worst is not at that present, is the future... haha...
Second, was a friend from Air Force. A bike accident. Was rather sad...
I still remembered on Wednesday, he said he was going for bike test tomorrow... I wished him good luck... Nobody knew whether he passed anot... But later found that he met an accident along the way to work on Friday & passed away in one of the weekends... Recalled Encik Patrick... "Why I dont know", "Why u dont know", "Why nobody knows", "Why u all seem not too care".... crapz...
The third case, my father's friend. He was a very nice person, a true friend. Went to his funeral with my father... To be frank, that time I was worried for my dad, dont know can he take it abot. That was the third funeral consecutive for the third month.... He was already sad when my aunty passed away, then another close friend, then more after this close friend... One of his closest friend.... But at least everything went out fine eventfully...
Haiz...
Life is short... Just thinking how much time have I waste in gaming, lying on the bed, doing nothing.... Think back... should be about 40% of my time... haha... In other words, I wasted 40% of my time till now... & its still counting... sad...
I feel that I know my problems pretty well... But just unable to overcome my fear and discipline enough to do anything productive....
Short Term Goals:
- Reduce Gaming
- Find a hobby, sport preferred (is my 2008 resolution)
- A skill that I can use it to make a living...
- hmm... Maybe a girlfriend... But this depends on fate... Cannot force though... haha...

Planning for short overseas trip....
Looking for people to go for short overseas trip before 22nd September...

Sounds rather impossible... Thats only next week... I dont think my friends' boss will approve their leave... haha...
Places in mind: Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai or Okinawa (Japan).

As Gobby suggested, why not go by yourself...
hmm... alittle lonely leh... If go overseas, find temp partner also not very correct... haha...
But will consider travelling alone... haha...
Then I will fly Michael and Choon Kiat aeroplane and miss my Toastmasters meeting...

A Clearer Day...
Today went back to Ahmad Ibrahim Sec to collect my bag...
So glad that I have my organiser back...
haha...
Dont know why, just feel better when my organiser is with me...
Unlike, yesterday... the feeling was bad... somehow dont feel comfortable without it... haha...
Thinking of my organiser...
I think I have practiced it since sec sch...
Still remembered last time 老爸 had to force me down the throat then I would do my Yearly Resolution and daily recording...
And now... it seems to become part of me... haha...
So happy writing on it.. haha...

An Interesting Day....
Went to help Co-ordinate Speech craft session in Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary School with Toastmasters Club member.
It was a fun session, I learnt alot about co-ordinating... How it was done...
I was surprised & impressed with our Secondary 1 students.
Can see that they were very nervous, but they still managed to speak well.
Feel that they will definitely do well if they continue to work hard to speak publicly.

As a Software Engineer in ST Electronics...
Hope everything goes fine on Friday to sign for the Letter of Appointment....
haha....
They are requesting me to start work on 22nd September...
Really a delinema...
I want to go 武当山... if starts work on 22nd Sept, then cannot go already...
Feel alittle sad...
On the other hand, this is my new job after my Air Force...
also significant...

I think I know why i feel alittle lost this evening...
I forgot to bring my organiser back...
